Who we are

This website is operated by Epic Structure LLC, doing business as BuildAtPeace, a Colorado limited liability company, located in Larkspur, Colorado.

This policy explains what we collect when you use buildatpeace.com, the Guesstimator tools, or contact us, and what we do with it.

What we collect

Information you give us directly

  • Your email address, and your first name if you provide it, when you ask us to send you a copy of your Guesstimator results

  • Your county and project type, when you tell us

  • Your name, email, phone number, and whatever you write to us when you submit a contact form or book a consultation

  • Any information you share with us by email, phone, or during a consultation

Information created when you use the Guesstimator

When you run an estimate, the choices you make — square footage, finish level, foundation type, delivery method, your stated budget, and the resulting cost figures — are stored alongside your email address if you ask us to send you a copy. If you don't give us an email address, we don't store your estimate.

Information collected automatically

  • Standard web server information: IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you visit

  • Analytics data about how the site is used, through Wix Analytics and Google Analytics

  • Advertising and measurement data through the Meta Pixel, if you arrived from or later visit Facebook or Instagram

Information stored on your own device

The Guesstimator tools store your in-progress inputs in your browser's local storage so you don't lose your work if you reload the page. That data stays on your device, and we can't read it. Clearing your browser data removes it.

What we do with it

  • Send you the Guesstimator results you asked for

  • Respond to your questions and schedule consultations

  • Provide general contracting and advisory services if you become a client

  • Understand which pages and tools people use, so we can improve them

  • Measure whether our advertising works

  • Meet legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations
     

We do not sell your personal information. We don't rent it, trade it, or share it with data brokers. We don't share your contact information with contractors, lenders, suppliers, or anyone else looking for leads.

Marketing email

If you ask for your Guesstimator results, we send you those results. That's a transactional email — you requested it.

We may also send occasional emails about building in Colorado, cost guides, or our services. Every one has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect for all marketing email. It won't stop us replying to something you asked us about.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, understand how it's used, and measure advertising.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Essential cookies can't be turned off without breaking parts of the site.

Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of targeted advertising.

Google Analytics
You can opt out across all sites using Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Meta
You can control ad personalization in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.

How long we keep it

  • Guesstimator submissions and inquiries: [3 years] from your last contact with us, unless you ask us to delete them sooner

  • Client records: as long as the project runs, then [7 years], because construction records, contracts, and tax records have their own retention requirements

  • Analytics data: as set by the provider — Google Analytics currently defaults to [14 months]

Your choices

Whether or not a privacy law applies to us, you can:

  • Ask what we have about you. Email us and we'll tell you.

  • Ask us to correct it.

  • Ask us to delete it. We'll do it unless we're required to keep it for tax, legal, or contract reasons.

  • Unsubscribe from marketing email at any time.
    Email info@epicstructure.com and we'll respond within 30 days. We won't charge you and we won't treat you differently for asking.

Colorado residents

The Colorado Privacy Act applies to businesses that process the personal data of 100,000 or more Colorado consumers in a year, or 25,000 or more while earning revenue from selling personal data. We are well below both thresholds, so the CPA does not currently apply to us.

We honor the requests listed above anyway. If our business grows past those thresholds, we'll update this policy and comply.
 

If you're outside the United States

This site is intended for people building in Colorado. If you use it from outside the US, your information is processed in the United States, where privacy laws differ from those where you live.

Children

This site is for adults planning construction projects. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.

Security

We use reputable providers with industry-standard protections, and we limit who can see your information to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Links to other sites

We link to county building departments, suppliers, and other resources. Their privacy practices are their own, and we're not responsible for them.

Changes

We'll update this policy as the business changes. The date at the top shows the last revision. Material changes will be noted on this page.
